Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of 5 Seconds of Summer, Luke Hemmings has been a driving force behind one of the most successful Australian musical exports in history. The band has moved over 10 million albums and racked up more than 7 billion streams across six studio records, from their 2014 self titled debut through to Everyone's a Star! in 2025. Beyond the band, Hemmings has carved out a solo career worth paying attention to. His 2021 debut album When Facing the Things We Turn Away From hit number one on the ARIA Albums Chart and cracked the top 20 in both Belgium and the UK, with singles like Starting Line setting the tone. In 2024 he followed that up with the EP Boy, preceded by the singles Shakes and Close My Eyes. He also captured a live set from his first solo tour in the EP Nostalgia (Live from Los Angeles), giving fans a proper document of that run. Outside music, Hemmings has done modelling work, walking the runway for Philipp Plein at New York Fashion Week in 2019 and appearing on the cover of Glass Man magazine.
