MØ, the Danish artist born Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen, broke through internationally with a feature credit most artists would kill for: co writing and singing on Major Lazer and DJ Snake's "Lean On", which became one of the best selling singles of all time with over 13 million global sales and more than a billion streams on Spotify. That track topped charts in Denmark, Australia, Finland, Iceland and the Netherlands, and cracked the top five in the US and UK. Before that, her debut album No Mythologies to Follow had already turned heads, earning a Metacritic score of 77 and four Danish Music Awards including Album of the Year. Her sound sits somewhere between indie pop and electropop, with a restless energy that's carried across several albums. The solo single "Final Song" from 2016 gave her a genuine top ten hit in her home country, and collaborations with Justin Bieber via Major Lazer's "Cold Water" kept her in chart contention globally. Since then she has built out her catalogue with the EP When I Was Young, followed by the studio albums Forever Neverland, Motordrome and Plæygirl.
