About
Magoria makes progressive rock opera, and they go all in on atmosphere and storytelling. Led by guitarist Mark Bogert, the Dutch ensemble has been producing large scale theatrical rock productions since 2019. Their debut album JtR1888 told the story of Jack the Ripper through original progressive rock compositions, setting the tone for the cinematic, narrative driven work that defines them. Their follow up production Hollingsworth Mansion takes a different turn, dropping the audience into a sprawling haunted house with two centuries of dark history. The story follows the Welbourne family as they forge a supernatural connection with the Hollingsworth family, who perished in the manor 200 years earlier. The cast includes vocalists Rodney Blaze, Maria Catharina, Nadine Pruim, Jan Willem Ketelaers, Cindy Oudshoorn, Edwin Balogh and Inge Rijnja, supported by a full live band featuring guitars, keys, piano, bass, drums and orchestral arrangements.
