About
Also known as: Måns Petter Albert Sahlén Zelmerlöw, mans zelmerlow
Måns Zelmerlöw won Eurovision in 2015 with "Heroes", but Swedish telly knew him long before that. He finished fifth on Idol in 2005, then won the first season of Let's Dance, and his 2007 Melodifestivalen entry "Cara Mia" took third place in the final and turned into a proper hit. His debut album Stand by For... went to number one in Sweden and landed a platinum certification, with four singles in the national top 50. The follow up MZW also topped the Swedish chart. He keeps one foot in musicals and presenting too. He has played Danny Zuko in Grease, Tommy in Footloose and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, and he hosted Allsång på Skansen from 2011 to 2013, plus Melodifestivalen in 2010. His third album, Barcelona Sessions, came out in 2014, and a run of polished pop videos followed, including "Fuego", "Better Now" and "One" in 2019.
