About
Also known as: Truly Lover
Marcel Riesco is a California born singer with a voice that draws frequent comparisons to a young Roy Orbison, and that comparison runs deeper than just tone. He has spent decades studying Orbison's life and work, contributing to official projects including the DVD releases Greatest Hits and Live in Australia, the official online biography, and the 2017 book The Authorized Roy Orbison. Riesco himself puts it plainly: he learned to sing through Orbison's songs, and that influence never left. Musically, he operates in the world of 1950s rock and roll and rockabilly, with a sound rooted in the raw, earthy spirit of Sun Records. That style has taken him to festivals across the globe, where he has built a solid following among fans of doo wop and psychobilly as well as classic rockabilly.
