About
Mark William Lewis is a South London musician who refuses to sit still genre wise, mixing dream pop, indie rock, jazz, folk and experimental sounds. He built his name in DIY venues like M.O.T., Ormside Projects and Avalon Cafe, playing alongside Nina Cristante, lead singer of Bar Italia. His first EP, Pleasure is Everything, was made in late 2021 in a 20 story apartment block in Deptford, and its cover is a skyline shot from his own flat. God Complex followed in spring 2022, and the two were later bundled together on vinyl. His debut LP, Living, came out in 2023 and tackles the weight of life and death. Pitchfork gave it a 7.6 out of 10, which took him well beyond word of mouth buzz. He has teamed up with Mike and Sokora Violetov, and joined Mike for an NPR Tiny Desk Concert. In June 2025 he became the first artist to sign a non soundtrack album to A24 Music, with his self titled record.
