Men I Trust are a trio from Montréal who have quietly built one of the most distinctive sounds in modern dream pop, weaving Emmanuelle Proulx's hushed vocals around Jessy Caron's guitar work and Dragos Chiriac's keyboards into something genuinely hypnotic. They have self released everything, including six studio albums, and their 2019 record Oncle Jazz, shaped in part by the green solitude of rural Quebec, landed them a Polaris Music Prize long list nomination. That record drew heavily from singles the band had been dropping over the previous years, several of which were reworked for the album. Since then they have kept up a relentless pace. Untourable Album arrived in 2021, written during pandemic lockdowns, and despite its name it ended up being toured extensively across North America and Europe. In late 2022 they performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside Joey Badass. In 2025 they released two albums back to back, Equus Asinus and Equus Caballus, both of which earned spots on the Polaris Music Prize long list.
