About
Mica Millar has carved out a serious reputation as one of the most striking voices in British soul, drawing on soul, blues, gospel and jazz to shape a sound that feels both timeless and distinctly her own. Her debut album Heaven Knows, mastered at Abbey Road Studios, tackles weighty themes including human nature, spirituality, inequality and love. Notably, she writes, arranges and produces all her own material. Millar has won the Jazz FM UK Soul Act of the Year award and built her live reputation opening for artists such as Lionel Richie, Gregory Porter and Gladys Knight. Jamie Cullum has also counted himself among her admirers. Her follow up record A Little Bit Of Me continues that run of catchy, self crafted soul.
