Mickey 3D built their reputation on rock songs that mix sharp, critical lyrics with unexpected sonic touches, drawing comparisons to artists like Christophe Miossec. The French group from Montbrison got their start in 1997 and released their debut album Mistigri Torture in 1999, but it was the song Respire that really put them on the map, cracking Switzerland's top 10 in 2004 and winning three Victoires de la musique in the same year, including song of the year and music video of the year. Over the years they built up a solid discography, with albums like Tu vas pas mourir de rire and Matador cementing their place in French rock. The band has kept at it consistently, putting out La grande évasion, Sebolavy, and most recently Nous étions des humains in 2023. They even revisited Respire in 2020 for a new version featuring French rap duo Bigflo and Oli, showing they're not afraid to give their back catalogue a fresh spin.
