About
Also known as: The Midnight Youth
Midnight Youth were a New Zealand rock band from Auckland who made a serious impression in a short window of time. Their debut album The Brave Don't Run, recorded across multiple studios in New York City, went platinum in New Zealand and peaked at number two on the album chart. The single "All On Our Own" beat out international competition to become the most played song on NZ radio for the whole of 2009, and "Cavalry" sat at number one on rock radio for seven straight weeks. "Golden Love" found unexpected longevity after featuring in a Korean TV drama years after its release, racking up over 8 million streams by 2018. Their second album World Comes Calling followed in 2011, but lead singer Jeremy Redmore departed in 2012 to go solo, and the band played their final show in March 2013.
