About
Also known as: 김윤진, 미란이
Mirani's breakout moment came on Show Me the Money 9 in 2020, when "VVS", the track she made with Munchman, Khundi Panda and Mushvenom, sat at number 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart for seven weeks straight and picked up Hip hop Track of the Year at the Korean Hip hop Awards. She finished in the show's Top 8, but the song did most of the talking. The South Korean rapper and songwriter had been putting music on SoundCloud since 2018, and took her stage name from a character in the manga Case Closed. After the show she signed with At Area, the label founded by the producer duo GroovyRoom, and put out the EP Uptown Girl in 2021. Her debut album The Drift followed in May 2023, with double title tracks "Bad Boy" and "Candy". She's also a busy feature artist, popping up on records by Jay Park, Huh, Soyou and plenty more, and in 2025 she debuted as a member of the group TDYA with a single she wrote herself.
