Monique Aarts
Monique Aarts has one upcoming show in the Netherlands: on March 7, 2027 at Cultuurcluster de Tiliander, Oisterwijk.
About
Monique Aarts is a singer who has been working with pianist Dave Hanhart and violinist Margriet Snellen for years, and the three of them make chanson their shared territory. They reached the final of the Concours de la Chanson at the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, and that experience pushed them to build a full show around the genre. The songs circle around love, friendship and connection. Their repertoire mixes French classics by Aznavour and Piaf with newer favourites from Lara Fabian and Barbara Pravi. It's meant to be listened to, felt, and now and then sung along with, in an intimate setting where laughter and a few tears both have a place.
