The Mozarteumorchester is an Austrian orchestra with a natural home in the classical and operatic repertoire. Their programming draws on the great Viennese tradition, regularly pairing the works of Mozart, Haydn and Schubert, three composers whose admiration for one another runs through the heart of that canon. The orchestra also reaches beyond the standard repertoire, collaborating with the Turkish pianist and composer Fazıl Say, who bridges Western classical music and Turkish musical traditions. With Say they perform his own compositions alongside Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23, rounding out programmes with symphonies by Haydn and Schubert.
