About
MPH is a UK producer and DJ who lives in the space where UK garage meets bass and bassline, and he has put out music on a long list of labels. Garage releases have come through DJ EZ's Nuvolve, Kiwi Rekords and Southpoint, while the rowdier bassline material has landed on Night Bass and Crucast. Skream, Disclosure and Chris Lorenzo have all backed his tracks, and Darkzy and Skepsis have supported him too. He got hooked on the new wave of UKG and bass around 2014, digging through artists like Champion, My Nu Leng and Royal T. Flava D became his biggest influence, mostly for the way her tracks swing between buildup and drop. DJ EZ shaped his DJing, and MPH would watch his Boiler Room sets over and over to see how he blended records. His debut album Refraction has fifteen tracks, with guests including AC Slater and Eloise Keeble, and his shows have taken him across Australia, the UK and the US.
