Mr. V, aka Victor Font, is a New York DJ, producer and vocalist whose sound sits right at the crossroads of hip hop and house. A decade of working alongside Louie Vega in the 1990s left a clear mark on his style, and that influence runs through everything he puts out. His debut album Welcome Home landed on Defected Records in 2006 to solid reviews, with one writer calling it a study in the melting pot of Manhattan sounds. The track Da Bump reached number 2 on the UK Dance Chart in 2007. Since then he has kept good company: a 2013 collaboration with Steve Bug called The Long Run pulled an 8 out of 10 from Mixmag, and his 2016 EP with Roger Sanchez, 6 AM, was praised by the same magazine as big club ammo of the highest order.
