Muzz, also known as Muzzy, is an English drum and bass producer and DJ from Basingstoke who built a following through releases on UKF and Monstercat. His 2010 debut "X No Way Out" on UKF Dubstep kicked things off when he was just 14 or 15, and the track's distorted, growling sound was ahead of its time in the dubstep scene. Since then he has put out a steady string of EPs on Monstercat, blending hard hitting drum and bass with elements of trap and dubstep. His 2016 EP "F Minor Factory" showed a knack for concept driven work, built around a dystopian sci fi narrative involving a rogue AI and a rebellious cyborg. The follow up "Spectrum" in 2017 won Best Album/EP, Best Original Track and Best Artist in the drum and bass category. He pulls his melodies entirely by ear, which makes it even more impressive that his productions sit alongside artists with formal training.
