About
Nick & Simon were one of the busiest acts in Dutch pop. In 2007, just a year after breaking through, they were the most booked artists in the Netherlands. Their album Luister hit double platinum in only four months, which says plenty about how fast things took off for the singer songwriter duo of Simon Keizer and Nick Schilder. Nick had already popped up on Idols, the Dutch version of Idol, where he finished 11th, before the pair started performing together. They later landed a TV documentary series chasing the American Dream, and spent the first three seasons of The Voice of Holland as coaches. Singles like Julia, Vlinders and Pak Maar M'n Hand kept their nederpop sound in rotation. In the end they called it quits after their Nu of Ooit tour, wanting room for solo careers they had long aspired to.
