About
Also known as: Shermar Cuba Paul
Night Lovell has a gift for making darkness feel atmospheric rather than gimmicky. The Canadian rapper and producer built a following after his track Dark Light went viral in 2014, and his brooding, introspective style has kept listeners hooked ever since. Drawing on drill, trap, cloud rap, and ambient textures, his music sits in a lane that feels genuinely his own. By 2023 he had racked up over 750 million streams on Spotify, which says a lot for an artist who has never chased the mainstream. He has four studio albums to his name: Red Teenage Melody, Goodnight Lovell, Just Say You Don't Care, and I Hope You're Happy, released in 2023. He also appeared on Corpse Husband's Hot Demon Bitches Near U, a pairing that made a lot of sense given both artists' taste for heavy, unsettling sounds.
