Nightstalker have been grinding out heavy, hazy rock from Athens since 1989, and they have never been entirely comfortable with the stoner rock tag the world keeps slapping on them. As frontman Argy once put it, they just play rock, and whatever label the press reaches for says more about the moment than the music. That attitude has served them well across a cult following built over three decades in the underground rock scene. Their sound fuses raw rock simplicity with thick riffs and psychedelic undertones, drawing from classic rock, metal and the grunge wave of the early nineties. The band's catalogue spans nine albums, from the debut Use in 1996 through to Return from the Point of No Return in 2025, and they have kept the pace up noticeably in the last decade or so. Albums like Great Hallucinations and the 2025 release show a band that has no interest in coasting. They have toured Europe, played festivals and even had a tribute album dedicated to their catalogue back in 2016, which is a solid marker of just how deep that cult following actually runs.
