About
Nine Below Zero turned up on the first ever episode of The Young Ones, playing '11+11', which is a pretty good cult credential to have. The band came together in south east London in 1977, built around Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham, and the pair are still at the heart of that raw, harmonica driven British rhythm and blues sound. They made their name as a live act, and the album Live at the Marquee from 1980 is the one fans point to first. Don't Point Your Finger followed in 1981, and songs like 'Pack Fair and Square' and 'Three Times Enough' sit alongside '11+11' as favourites. Over the years they've shared stages with The Who and The Kinks, appeared on The Old Grey Whistle Test and The South Bank Show, and racked up more than twenty albums of blues, soul and rock.
