About
Noia Trio is a piano trio from Zwolle made up of three Spanish musicians: violinist Almudena Bujanda, cellist Clara Sánchez, and pianist Ana Marco. The three met at the ArtEZ Conservatorium and formed the ensemble in 2023. What holds them together is a shared musical vision rooted in their Catalan Spanish background, and a curiosity that stretches across the repertoire, from established classics to rarely heard pieces. Their playing is marked by intense ensemble chemistry and a distinctive collective sound. Their programmes mix composers like Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Turina with less familiar names such as Rogelio Huguet y Tagell, whose 'Scènes andalouses' has never been recorded. Paul Schoenfield's Café Music, with its blend of jazz, gypsy idioms and Broadway colours, also features in their work. In 2024 the trio won the audience prize at the final of the ArtEZ Kamermuziek Sessies.
