Few acts in hardstyle carry as much weight as Noisecontrollers. The project started as a duo between Bas Oskam and Arjan Terpstra in late 2005, initially chasing the sound of Donkey Rollers, but quickly developing a style of their own: technical, emotional, and unmistakably euphoric. Their 2009 three way collab with Headhunterz and Wildstylez, "Tonight", became one of the most celebrated tracks in hard dance history, landing the number two spot in a 2013 all time ranking. After Terpstra stepped away in 2013, Oskam kept the name going as a solo act. By that point Noisecontrollers had already notched up Defqon.1 anthems, a spot in DJ Mag's Top 100, and a string of albums released through Q Dance and their own label Digital:Age. Oskam also founded Spirit of Hardstyle as his own imprint, and has explored hardcore and dubstep alongside his main hardstyle output. With over 200 individual tracks released across more than a decade, this is one of the cornerstones of the genre.
