Nonpoint have been one of heavy metal's most quietly persistent acts since forming in Fort Lauderdale in 1997. Built around vocalist Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera, the band carved out a reputation for hard hitting grooves that sit somewhere between nu metal and alternative metal, landing chart spots on Mainstream Rock radio with tracks like "Bullet with a Name" and "The Truth". Their music has shown up in WWE video games, the Miami Vice movie, NASCAR games, and various other soundtracks, giving them a reach well beyond the concert circuit. They've never been afraid to tackle a cover, either. Their take on Phil Collins's "In the Air Tonight" became the theme for the Miami Vice film, and more recently they put out a version of Prince's "When Doves Cry". In 2021 the band launched their own imprint, 361 Degrees Records, giving them full control over their releases. With ten studio albums behind them and a fanbase that has stuck around for decades, Nonpoint remain one of the more dependable names in American heavy metal.
