Nothing More built their reputation the hard way, spending years grinding through lineup changes and label rejections before finally landing the sound and the lineup that clicked. When drummer Jonny Hawkins made the bold call to step out from behind the kit and become the frontman, everything shifted. Paired with guitarist Mark Vollelunga and bassist Daniel Oliver, the San Antonio rock band self funded their self titled fourth album over three years, and it paid off big in 2014 with multiple chart hits including the number one Active Rock track "This is the Time (Ballast)". Their fifth album, The Stories We Tell Ourselves, pushed them even further, with "Go to War" topping the Mainstream Rock chart and earning the band three Grammy nominations including Best Rock Album. They kept the momentum rolling with Spirits in 2022 and then Carnal in 2024, showing no signs of slowing down. Their mix of alternative metal, progressive rock and hard rock keeps them firmly in the conversation for one of the more ambitious bands in the American rock scene.
