O.A.R., short for Of A Revolution, built their following the old fashioned way: letting fans record and share their live shows, word spreading until sold out nights at Madison Square Garden became a reality. The Rockville, Maryland outfit blends alternative rock, indie rock and roots rock with a saxophone in the mix, giving them a warm, jammy feel that drew early comparisons to Dave Matthews Band. Their only Billboard Hot 100 entry, "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)", peaked at number 36 in 2008 and later landed on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Adult Alternative Songs list. Over nearly three decades the band has put out ten studio albums, from their self released debut The Wanderer through to The Arcade in 2022. The Rockville LP hit number 13 on the Billboard 200, their strongest chart showing to date. They have also collaborated with rapper B.o.B, performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and in 2025 wrote "Our Diamond, Our District" to mark new uniforms for the Washington Nationals.
