About
Also known as: Ben Cramer
Ben Cramer makes music under the name Old Sea Brigade, and his brand of indie folk carries what critics have called a Southern gothic atmosphere, rooted in the kind of quiet intensity that tends to get people hooked fast. The Atlanta born, Nashville based songwriter and producer released his debut EP in 2016, then spent the next year on the road supporting artists like Julien Baker and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. His full length debut Ode to a Friend followed in 2019, and he later teamed up with Luke Sital Singh for the collaborative EP All The Ways You Sing In The Dark. His songs have found a wide audience through TV placements on shows like Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, and Nashville, which says a lot about how well his music fits an emotional moment.
