Few reality show runners up have made as much noise as Olly Murs. The Essex born pop singer finished second on The X Factor in 2009 and promptly turned that platform into a proper career, signing to RCA and Sony Music and releasing a debut album that went double platinum in the UK. His knack for big, hooky pop paid off quickly: his second album, In Case You Didn't Know, went straight to number one and delivered two chart toppers in "Heart Skips a Beat" and "Dance with Me Tonight". He kept the momentum going with Right Place Right Time, whose lead single "Troublemaker" became his fourth UK number one, and Never Been Better, which also debuted at the top. One of his more surprising chapters came in 2019, when his 2016 track "That Girl" took off in China and became one of his biggest international hits. Beyond music, he spent years as a coach on The Voice UK and co presented The X Factor alongside Caroline Flack. His most recent album, Knees Up, arrived in 2025.
