Few German streetpunk bands made as much noise abroad as Oxymoron. Formed in 1992 and rooted firmly in the anti racist oi and punk rock scene, they built a genuine international following the hard way, through relentless touring across Europe, the US, and even Japan. Their 1995 debut full length Fuck The Nineties, Here's Our Noize earned serious underground credibility, and the releases that followed, including The Pack Is Back and Feed The Breed, kept them busy on the road with the likes of Dropkick Murphys and The Casualties. After a string of lineup shifts and a hospitalization for their vocalist Sucker, the band quietly slipped into an indefinite hiatus in 2002, though they still managed to surface with split releases here and there. By 2014 it was official: Oxymoron had called it a day, signing off with a blunt note on their website asking fans to keep the spirit alive themselves.
