About
Parasol is a South Korean indie rock trio built from a handful of other Seoul scenes. Chiyoonhae plays in Sultan of the Disco, Kim Na Eun came from Trampauline and Julia Hart, and Jeong Wonjin passed through The Freaks and Bluestream. They got going in 2013 and put out a self titled EP the following year. Their debut album Someday arrived in 2015, and Kim Na Eun said they simply recorded it as much as they wanted, with no grand meaning attached. One Weiv reviewer called it the best pleasure that ambiguity and subtlety can convey. A single with Silica Gel followed in 2017, then the second album A Nothing, plus a run of shows across South Korea and Japan. They also released the EP Wednesday that year. In 2019 Kim Na Eun started a solo career with the single Summer Clouds.
