About
PAUW is a Dutch neo psychedelic group built around Rens Ottink and Brian Pots. Their sound pulls from the spirit of the 1960s and 70s while staying firmly rooted in the present, and that balance earned them nominations for both an Edison and a 3FM Award. Their debut album Macrocosm Microcosm made a serious impression at home and abroad, with sold out club tours and appearances at festivals including Lowlands, Down the Rabbit Hole and Bospop following in its wake. The band found a natural home on Dutch radio too, with 3FM and Radio 2 both giving them regular airplay, and they turned up on television programmes like De Wereld Draait Door as well. Live, they lean into sprawling jams and psychedelic textures, surrounding the core duo with a broader collective of musicians to fill out that expansive sound.
