About
Founded in The Hague in 1976, Plackband has carved out a distinctive place in the Dutch symphonic rock scene over the course of five decades. The band draws on influences from Genesis, Yes and Camel, shaping those into a sound of their own: melodic compositions, atmospheric arrangements and strong instrumental passages that give their music real depth and texture. After returning to Dutch stages in 2024 with a refreshed lineup, Plackband released the studio album Sebilla, previewed by the single We Have The Sun. The record stays true to the symphonic and progressive elements that have defined the band from the start, while pointing in a new direction at the same time.
