About
Popkoor Prestige Leiden is a pop choir with a reputation for big, warm ensemble sound and a knack for keeping things lively. Their repertoire spans recognisable pop songs arranged for choir, mixing slow, emotive ballads with faster, more upbeat numbers. Every piece gets performed with genuine conviction rather than polished distance, which tends to be what wins audiences over. The choir performs under the direction of conductor Nienke Burgmeijer, backed by professional musical accompaniment, and the result sits somewhere between a concert and a full theatrical experience, where atmosphere and performance are just as much part of the evening as the singing itself.
