About
Pyrex is a New York band that plays fast, tightly wound punk with a nervy edge. The vocals come across anxious and claustrophobic, while the drums and bass stay sharp and locked in. Between the quick songs, they drop in strange, psychedelic stretches that pull you somewhere a bit unsettling. If you like Rudimentary Peni or Poison Ruin, this is the kind of band that should land well with you. They have also built up a link with the Haarlem scene, playing alongside local acts and teaming up with Dutch band Traumatizer for a split single.
