About

Rachel Grae writes the kind of songs that feel like reading someone's private journal, and that's entirely the point. The New York area pop artist built her following on TikTok, where she started posting videos anonymously in late 2020, and her raw, confessional style drew comparisons to voices like Adele and Demi Lovato. Her 2021 debut single Bad Timing landed on a Times Square billboard in partnership with Spotify, and she went on to appear in the TikTok and Pepsi series Becoming A Popstar, where Joe Jonas, Becky G, and Sean Bankhead named her the first fan favorite of the season. It'll Be Okay went viral in 2022 after being featured on Love Island UK, and Rolling Stone took notice, running a feature on her earlier track Outsider. She performed on KTLA 5 News, collaborated with cover group Boyce Avenue, and had a live performance of How Dare You spotlighted by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Her 2023 releases leaned into heavy emotional territory: Daughter, a vulnerable piece about her relationship with her mom, was covered by People Magazine, and Hope You're Proud arrived on Stand Up to Cancer Day as an ode to loss.
