About
Raein are often credited with bringing screamo to Europe at a time when the genre was reaching its peak in the US through bands like Orchid and Saetia. Hailing from Forlì, Italy, they share members with La Quiete and the post rock outfit Neil on Impression, which gives you a sense of the tight knit scene they come from. After breaking up in late 2005 and regrouping in 2007, they kept pushing hard, releasing the free album Sulla linea dell'orizzonte fra questa mia vita e quella di tutti in 2011 and their fourth studio record Perpetuum in 2015. That same year they played Fluff Fest in the Czech Republic for the third time. A 7" split with Loma Prieta on Deathwish Inc. and an 8" split with Ampere round out a discography that has kept the screamo flame burning on the European side of the Atlantic.
