About
RaiNao blends reggaeton, jazz, R&B, and alternative pop in a way that feels genuinely singular, partly because her foundation is in saxophone and music theory rather than the usual pop pipeline. The Puerto Rican singer songwriter, based in Santurce, San Juan, spent four years touring as a backup vocalist for Rafa Pabön before stepping out on her own, and that stage time clearly paid off. Her 2022 debut EP ahora A.K.A. Nao drew attention when Bad Bunny spotlighted her track "LUV", which landed her a spot performing at one of his Un Verano Sin Ti concerts in San Juan. Her debut album Capicú, out in 2024, pushed even further into experimental territory, weaving in live horns and percussive rhythms alongside tracks like "Roadhead" and "Naomi's Interlude". That same year she played Ceremonia and Baja Beach Fest. Most recently she appeared on Bad Bunny's sixth album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, featuring on the track "Perfumito Nuevo". She writes all her own lyrics, treating songwriting as a way to communicate what she couldn't otherwise say.
