In Grand Theft Auto 6, Tom Araya and Kerry King of Slayer spin metal on the radio station 106.6 The Chamber, alongside hosts like Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen.

Rockstar Games has shared previews of the radio stations in Grand Theft Auto 6, and the metal station stands out above all. On 106.6 The Chamber, two members of Slayer take the mic themselves: singer and bassist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King. According to Revolver, the station plays "metal and metal only."
On the station, Araya and King go by DJ Tom and DJ Kerry. That's a much more direct nod than in earlier games in the series. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses still got the alias Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith, Loudwire writes. Iggy Pop also hosted a station in an earlier installment.
The 106.6 The Chamber preview features snippets of three songs: "I" by Black Sabbath from 1992, "I'm Broken" by Pantera from 1994, and "Raining Blood" by Slayer from 1986. Besides Araya and King, two other voices from the rock and metal world can be heard: Caity Babs of the SiriusXM channels Octane and Turbo, and Shawn the Butcher of Liquid Metal. Just before "Raining Blood," Araya says: "The world's a heavy place. Give it the thrashing soundtrack it deserves."
The metal station isn't the only one with famous names behind the mic. According to Rolling Stone, Bad Bunny and his fellow Puerto Rican RaiNao host as El Martillo and La Gata on Cocoteo FM, a station for modern Latin music. Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen can be heard as Delta Dawne and MW on Back Country Radio, which focuses on classic country and outlaw country. Del Rey's husband Jeremy Dufrene gets a supporting role as Mud Dog Mike, the station's roving reporter, swamp weatherman, and airboat captain, which is also what he does in real life.
Del Rey says she's been a fan of the series for years. She says relatives who came to Los Angeles for the first time already knew the roads from playing the game. Parts of the series are set in Los Santos, which is inspired by Los Angeles, while the new game takes place in Leonida, a state based on Florida.
For metal fans, the big draw is that Slayer, one of the "Big 4" of thrash metal, gets a prominent spot in one of the biggest game releases coming up. The preview of all the radio stations can be heard on the Rockstar Games website. Grand Theft Auto 6 comes out on November 19.
