About
Seattle's Rishloo carve out a space where progressive metal meets alternative rock, layering dense, shifting arrangements with a sensibility that draws as much from prog rock as from heavier territory. Formed in 2002, the band built their catalog across four studio albums: Terras Fames (2004), Eidolon (2007), Feathergun (2009), and Living as Ghosts with Buildings as Teeth (2014). The band dissolved around 2012 after vocalist Andrew Mailloux departed, with the remaining members going on to form The Ghost Apparatus. That wasn't the full story, though. Rishloo eventually regrouped and returned with the 2014 album, and as of their most recent update they are still working on new material, with songs continuing to take shape even if no release date is on the horizon.
