Robin Thicke built his reputation behind the scenes long before anyone knew his name, writing and producing for the likes of Brandy, Christina Aguilera, Mýa and Michael Jackson. His blue eyed soul sound, often compared to Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, finally got its proper showcase on The Evolution of Robin Thicke in 2006, which cracked the Billboard 200 top five and gave him the slow burning hit "Lost Without U". Albums like Something Else and Sex Therapy kept him a consistent presence on the charts through the late 2000s. Then came "Blurred Lines" in 2013, featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams, and everything went to another level entirely. The track topped the Billboard Hot 100, went diamond in the US, spent 11 weeks at number one in the Dutch Top 40, and landed Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. His sixth album of the same name debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart. Since 2019 he has been a regular panelist on Fox's The Masked Singer.
