About
Rockford plays heavy, grinding stoner rock with deep roots in the Seattle grunge tradition, drawing from the sounds of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains. The trio comes from Klundert in the Netherlands, and their name refers to the birthplace of singer and guitarist Niels Schmitz in the United States. Their songs have a knack for sticking around long after you've heard them, the kind of riffs that loop in your head all day without asking permission. In 2021 the band signed to indie label Grunge Pop Records. Since then they have clocked over 500,000 streams on Spotify, picked up airplay on international radio stations and landed multiple chart positions.
