About
Ron Adelaar is a Dutch pianist and composer whose work sits in the space between neoclassical and meditative piano music. His compositions are built around clear melodies and a calm, cinematic atmosphere, with the piano as the sole expressive focus. Since 2018 he has been releasing music on streaming platforms, and his catalogue has accumulated over 275 million streams across Spotify and Apple Music combined. Beyond performing and composing, Adelaar serves as A&R manager for Andante Piano, a sublabel of Disruptive Records. He has also spent more than four decades as pianist and conductor for a choir in Amersfoort. His live performances tend toward the intimate side, sharing concert programmes with other solo piano composers in stripped back acoustic settings.
