Rosé's second act is arguably bigger than her first. After years as the final member revealed in Blackpink, she stepped out solo in 2021 with the single album R, which sold 448,089 copies in its first week, the biggest opening ever for a Korean female soloist. Its lead single "On the Ground" topped the Billboard Global 200, making her the first artist to do that both solo and with a group. Fans also helped it rack up 41.6 million YouTube views in a day, beating the record Psy's "Gentleman" had held for almost eight years. Then came "APT.", a collaboration with Bruno Mars and the lead single from her debut studio album Rosie. It became the best selling global single of 2025 and made her the first Korean female soloist to top the charts in Australia. She has since collected a Brit Award, an MTV Video Music Award and three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. She is also a global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co.
