About
Rymden is a Scandinavian trio built around three heavy hitters: pianist and keyboardist Bugge Wesseltoft, drummer Magnus Öström, and bassist Dan Berglund. Their earlier work circled around themes of outer space and the cosmos, but their album Valleys & Mountains turns that lens inward, exploring the interior world of dreams and visions. The result sits somewhere between meditative ballads, nimble lighter pieces, and freewheeling improvisation, with a sound that feels both nostalgic and quietly hopeful. The band has appeared at Transition Festival and North Sea Jazz, and a memorable club show at Club Nine showed they translate just as well to smaller, more intimate settings.
