About
S.H.E are the Taiwanese Mandopop trio who basically defined girl group pop in the 2000s across the Chinese speaking world. Made up of Selina Jen, Hebe Tien, and Ella Chen, they formed in 2001 under HIM International Music and released their debut album Girls' Dorm the same day as the September 11 attacks, yet still managed to sell 750,000 copies across Asia. That kind of resilience set the tone for a career that racked up 13 studio albums, total sales of over 10 million records, and concert tours that broke attendance records. Their fourth album Super Star introduced a pop rock edge that stuck around, and Once Upon a Time scored Song of the Year at Hong Kong's TVB8 Awards for the track Don't Wanna Grow Up. Jay Chou even stepped in to write a song for them. In 2019 they parted ways with HIM International, with each member going on to run her own management company.
