About
Samuel Hasselhorn is a German baritone who won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2018, and he has been a fixture on major stages ever since. Critics tend to single out the clarity and warmth of his voice, but also the way he reads a text, turning musical drama into subtle psychological shading. He is equally at home on the concert platform and in opera, though song is where he feels the deepest connection. With his pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz he has been working on a Schubert project, performing and recording the songs Schubert wrote in his final years.
