About
Satin Jackets is the project of German producer Tim Bernhardt, who makes nu disco and deep house built for warm nights and open skies. Vice once summed up his sound as "super sexy, irresistible house filled with a summer vibe", which tracks: his 2013 single "You Make Me Feel Good" put him on the map, and his 2016 album Panorama Pacifico pushed him to over 30 million streams. Inspired by Nile Rodgers and Trevor Horn, he retreats to a studio in the middle of a German forest to write, using Ableton alongside filters and processors from Elysia and SPL. His 2019 album Solar Nights brought in collaborators like Panama and Niya Wells, and Bernhardt described it as "Satin Jackets, but in 3D." On stage he performs behind a distinctive mask, keeping himself deliberately anonymous even at his own shows.
