About
Also known as: スルギ, 강슬기, 슬기
Seulgi is the performance engine of Red Velvet, and her path through K pop has been unusually busy for someone who first showed up as an SM Rookies trainee in 2013. After debuting with the group in 2014, she racked up a long run of collaborations: duets with bandmate Wendy for drama soundtracks, a remake of "Doll" with Kangta and Wendy, and features on tracks by Taemin, Moonbyul and Zion.T. That last one, "Hello Tutorial", climbed to number two on the Gaon Digital Chart. She also joined Red Velvet's first sub unit with Irene, which debuted in 2020 with the EP Monster, and became part of the supergroup Got the Beat with Wendy. Her solo debut came in October 2022 with the EP 28 Reasons, led by the title track. Outside music, she has hosted her own live show and web music programs, and even translated a book of art essays.
