About
Sick Puppies built their reputation on one of the internet's earliest viral moments: their song "All the Same" soundtracked the Free Hugs Campaign video, which racked up tens of millions of views and won YouTube's video of the year in 2006. The Sydney trio, anchored by bassist Emma Anzai and originally fronted by singer and guitarist Shimon Moore, blend alternative rock and post grunge with a knack for landing songs in unexpected places. "You're Going Down" hit number one and became the WWE Extreme Rules theme, "War" was written for Street Fighter IV, and "Maybe" became their biggest chart success, reaching the top of Billboard Heatseekers. Moore departed in 2014 and was replaced by Bryan Scott, keeping the band rolling through further releases. Their catalogue stretches across albums like Dressed Up As Life and Tri Polar, the latter packed with rock radio hits. Most recently, the band put out Wave the Bull in March 2025, showing they are still very much active.
