About
Slash 'N Roses is an eight piece Dutch tribute to Guns N' Roses that aims for the raw, loud feel of the Sunset Strip in its heyday. The set pulls from Appetite for Destruction, with Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o' Mine and Paradise City, and from the Use Your Illusion albums, which brings in November Rain, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Live and Let Die and Estranged. Richard Dalmolen handles the Axl role on vocals, while Armand Gabeler plays the Slash part with a Gibson Les Paul and the top hat. Danny Waegemaeker is on drums, Arie Kok on bass and Kenneth De Krieger on rhythm guitar. Desie Brom and Sjharlie Vos sing backing vocals as Tracy and Roberta, and Wim van Deuren runs the keys for November Rain and Nightrain. The band has played Paaspop, venues like Paradiso, 013, Effenaar and Metropool, and a sold out Gelredome. A spot on the SBS6 show The Tribute: Battle of the Bands made them known beyond rock fans, and they have also played in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Finland.
