Slow Crush deal in the kind of shoegaze and dream pop that feels like being submerged in warm, slow moving sound. The Leuven quartet built their reputation on debut album Aurora, released in 2018 through Holy Roar Records, then cut ties with that label in 2020 after its founder faced serious allegations. They regrouped with Church Road Records and came back with their second album Hush in October 2021, showing the band's ability to rebuild and keep pushing forward. The lineup has shifted over the years, with vocalist and bassist Isa Holliday and guitarist Jelle Ronsmans as the constant anchors. Their sound pulls from slowcore and indie rock as much as classic shoegaze, giving them a weight that goes beyond simple nostalgia for the genre.
